Epiphany for Kashmir: Tulips & Stones (2016)

Tulips are symbolic of Kashmir's beauty. Every year the annual Tulip festival is organized near Dal lake and the valley for some moments forgets bloodbath it witnesses everyday. Young Kashmiris have been resorting to throwing stones to express anger. Through this painting I dream of a new beginning for Kashmir, where kids hold tulips symbolic of peace and better future rather the stones and path to radicalism.
